The arcade classic, free in your browser — no download, no sign-up. Steer with the arrow keys or WASD, eat the red blocks to grow, and see how long you last before you cross your own tail.

Use the edges. Because the board wraps, a wall is an escape route, not a dead end. When you're boxed in, run through the side and come out the other way.
Keep your turns square. Hug the outside and spiral inward so your tail stays in a predictable line behind you.
Plan the head, not the food. Think one move ahead of where the snake is going, not where the next block sits. Most deaths come from chasing food into your own body.
Snake goes back to the 1976 arcade machine Blockade and reached millions when Nokia loaded a version onto its phones in the late '90s. The rules never changed: one snake, one goal, one growing problem.
We wrote this version by hand in the browser — no engine, just a canvas and a game loop. It's one of a few small games in the NagoriTech arcade, where we mess around with front-end ideas between building software for clients.
Yes. It's completely free, with no sign-up, no download, and no ads. It loads and runs right in your browser.
Use the arrow keys or the W, A, S, and D keys on your keyboard. The game is built for desktop and laptop play.
No. In this version the board wraps around — the snake passes through each edge and reappears on the opposite side. The only way to lose is to run into your own tail.
There's no finish line. Eat the red blocks to grow longer and push your score as high as you can before the snake collides with itself.
The game is keyboard-controlled, so it plays best on a desktop or laptop.
